Action Together Sussex County was one of the first counties to be formed from the Pantsuit Nation FaceBook page thanks to Erin Jacobus who was instrumental in creating the chapters. We are grateful to Erin because of her strong leadership and convictions; this helped us as members become active and engaged in the community. We held many marches, rallies, and meetings right in our own neighborhood which we never dreamed possible since our neighbors are mostly conservative and have different views.
We’ve made great strides in November 2017 by assisting the Sussex County Democrats in getting out the vote for the Gubernatorial and the 24th Legislative District where we surpassed all expectations by garnering 40 percent of the vote. We still have work to do but many of us are on board to continue our quest to flip the 11th Congressional District and Defend the 5th Congressional District for our Congressman Josh Gottheimer. We’re enthusiastic about our primary race for the 11th CD in June. We continue to support Democratic candidates for our Town Council, Freeholders, Board of Education, and all down the ballot seats. We just love to vote, because it’s our honor and privilege!
Join us our culture is kindness, collaboration, and sharing plus we would love for you to help us follow through on our mission statement of making change where it is needed.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has ~ Margaret Mead
